HomeMy Public PortalAbout11376 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11376 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief (2001072), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Four Hundred Five Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($1,405,413.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Ninety-four Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-seven Dollars ($94,587.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief (2001072), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief (2001072), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of October, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None.
