AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater
Creek Sanitary Relief Sec. E Phase III (99106), in the City of Overland, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility
Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two
Million Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($2,013,680.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-six Thousand
Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($136,320.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper
Coldwater Creek Sanitary Relief Sec. E Phase III (99106), in the City of Overland,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater Creek Sanitary Relief
Sec. E Phase III (99106), in the City of Overland, Missouri, with The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of
November, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M.
Swartz.
Nays – None.
