AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($550,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase IA (Barrett Brothers Park) (2000048), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with J.W. Bommarito Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Five Hundred Fifteen
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-one Dollars ($515,371.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Thirty-four Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars
($34,629.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand ($550,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of Harlem - Baden Relief Phase IA (Barrett Brothers Park)
(2000048), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with J.W. Bommarito Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase IA (Barrett Brothers Park)
(2000048), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of November, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A. J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and
J.M. Swartz.
