AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of North Affton
to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Willard-Acorn Storm
Sewer Phase IA (87131A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Larry Ortmann Contracting, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Fifty-five Thousand
Eighty-one Dollars ($55,081.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is
Four Thousand Nine Hundred Nineteen Dollars ($4,919.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
North Affton to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Willard-
Acorn Storm Sewer Phase IA (87131A), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Larry Ortmann Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Willard-Acorn Storm Sewer Phase IA (87131A), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of
December, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A. J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and
J.M. Swartz.
