AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,125,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Country Village (P-178)
(Infrastructure Repair #197) (97048), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Company for the
construction of said sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Sixty-five Thousand Eighty-seven Dollars ($1,065,087.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Fifty-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Thirteen Dollars
($59,913.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Country Village (P-178)(Infrastructure Repair #197) (97048), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bi-State Utilities Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Country Village (P-178) (Infrastructure Repair #197)
(97048), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of December, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A. J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and
J.M. Swartz.
