HomeMy Public PortalAbout11414 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11414 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase 4A and 4B (2000105), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Forty-eight and 50/100 Dollars ($375,048.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-one and 50/100 Dollars ($24,951.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase 4A and 4B (2000105), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase 4A and 4B (2000105), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of December, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A. J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None.
