ORDINANCE NO. 11432
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred Sixty
Thousand Dollars ($1,860,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp Lane
Sanitary Relief Phase IA (99104A), in the Cities of Crystal Lake Park, Des Peres,
and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Six Hundred Thirty-six Thousand One Hundred Sixty-four and 50/100
Dollars ($1,636,164.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two
Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-five and 50/100 Dollars
($223,835.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Sixty
Thousand Dollars ($1,860,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak
Drive to Bopp Lane Sanitary Relief Phase IA (99104A), in The Cities of Crystal
Lake Park, Des Peres, and Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp
Lane Sanitary Relief Phase IA (99104A), in the Cities of Crystal Lake Park, Des
Peres, and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th
day of December, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 23, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz.
Nays – None.
