HomeMy Public PortalAbout11433 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11433 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a gabion wall and sanitary sewers in Magnolia and Waverton Storm Channel (DCT5-110) (99086), in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid gabion wall and sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said gabion wall and sanitary sewers is Seventy Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-three Dollars ($70,753.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Forty- seven Dollars ($19,247.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a gabion wall and sanitary sewers in Magnolia and Waverton Storm Channel (DCT5-110) (99080), in the City of Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a gabion wall and sanitary sewers in Magnolia and Waver ton Storm Channel (DCT5-110) (99080), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of December, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 23, 2003 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
