HomeMy Public PortalAbout11434 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11434 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary
sewers in George Ave.,-Caroline Ave.-Woodbine Ave. Storm Sewer (94010), in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Truss Brothers Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of said storm
and sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm and sanitary sewers
is Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00), and the easement costs and
allowance for construction change orders is Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute One Hundred
Ninety-two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($192,529.00) toward the
costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar
Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm and sanitary sewers in George Ave.-Caroline Ave.-Woodbine Ave.
Storm Sewer (94010), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Truss Brothers Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in George Ave.-Caroline Ave.-Woodbine
Ave. Storm Sewer (94010), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 26th day of December 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 23, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz.
Nays – None.
