AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($275,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined
Sewer Relief Phase IV (Gravois) (99079D), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform
Technologies USA, Inc. for the construction of said storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($259,225.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifteen Thousand Seven
Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($15,775.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars
($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-
Eichelberger Combines Sewer Relief Phase IV (Gravois) (99079D), in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined
Sewer Relief Phase IV (Gravois) (99079D) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of January 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 23, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz.
Nays – None.
