HomeMy Public PortalAbout11453 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11453 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-two Thousand Dollars ($32,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Hilleman #2991 Storm Sewer (MCMB-120) (99063), in the City of St. John, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dirtbusters, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Twenty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-four and 50/100 Dollars ($29,594.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Thousand Four Hundred Five and 50/100 Dollars ($2,405.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty-two Thousand Dollars ($32,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Hilleman #2991 Storm Sewer (MCMB-120) (99063), in the City of St. John, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dirtbusters, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Hilleman #2991 Storm Sewer (MCMB-120) (99063), in the City of St. John, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of January, 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 2003 by the following vote- Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
