AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,550,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase II (90022B), in
the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LTD. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Four Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Sixty-five Dollars ($1,464,065.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-five Thousand Nine Hundred
Thirty-five Dollars ($85,935.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,550,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief
Phase II (90022B), in the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LTD. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase II
(90022B), in the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of January,
2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 2003 by the following vote-
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz.
Nays – None.
