AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Ten
Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for project
costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central
Sewer Phase VIII (2000050), in the City of Clayton, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Karsten Equipment Company for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary
sewers is Two Hundred Ninety-two Thousand Seven Hundred Eight
Dollars ($292,708.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Seventeen Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-two Dollars ($17,292.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ten Thousand
Dollars ($310,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to
be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in East
Clayton Central Sewer Phase VIII (2000050), in the City of Clayton,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company
as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers
in East Clayton Central Sewers Phase VIII (2000050), in the City of
Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day
of March, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 10, 2003 by the following
vote –
Ayes – R.J. Baer, M.A. Rhodes, D. Joyce-Hayes, B.J. Margiotta, C.
Brown, and J.M. Swartz.
Nays – None.
