AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-five Thousand Dollars
($85,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of rock fill
slope protection and appurtenances in Reavis Barracks and Apple Bud Lane
Storm Project (GCMB-320) (99067); in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Busken Construction Company
for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid rock fill slope protection and
appurtenances is Seventy-six Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-six Dollars
($76,726.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eight Thousand
Two Hundred Seventy-four Dollars ($8,274.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the

construction of rock fill slope protection and appurtenances in Reavis Barracks
and Apple Bud Lane Storm Project (GCMB-320) (99067), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Busken Contruction Company as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of rock fill slope protection and appurtenances in
Reavis Barracks and Apple Bud Lane Storm Project (GCMB-320) (99067), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of March, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 22, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – R.J. Baer, M.A. Rhodes, D. Joyce-Hayes, B.J. Margiotta, C. Brown, and
J.M. Swartz.
