AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek
to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Collier Avenue Storm
Sewer (2001055), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Fifty-three Thousand
Two Hundred Forty-eight Dollars ($53,248.00), and the allowance for construction
change orders is Six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($6,752.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Collier
Avenue Storm Sewer (2001055), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Collier Avenue Storm Sewer (2001055), in the City of
Brentwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of April,
2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 22, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – R.J. Baer, M.A. Rhodes, D. Joyce-Hayes, B.J. Margiotta, C. Brown, and J.M.
Swartz.
Nays – None.
