HomeMy Public PortalAbout11497O R D I N A N C E NO. 11497 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO-V.A. Hospital Subsystem No. 73 Separation & Interceptor (I-173) Elimination (2003031), in St. Louis County, Missouri, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred Thirty-four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Dollars ($134,670.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars ($15,338.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO-V.A. Hospital Subsystem No. 73 Separation & Interceptor (I-173) Elimination (2003031), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO-V.A. Hospital Subsystem No. 73 Separation & Interceptor (I-173) Elimination (2003031), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of April 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2003.
