HomeMy Public PortalAbout11498 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11498 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of storm sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IA (2001066A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid rehabilitation of said storm sewers is Three Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($325,220.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($24,780.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of storm sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IA (2001066A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder, for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IA (2001066A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of April 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2003.
