AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Detention Basin
(2001144), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Four Hundred Forty-
eight Thousand Dollars ($448,000.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Fifty-two Thousand Dollars ($52,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thousand ($500,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Detention Basin
(2001144), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Detention Basin (2001144), in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 30th day of April 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2003.
