O R D I N A N C E NO. 11534
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($290,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Kossuth and Marcus) 2001131, in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Hundred Sixty-
Five Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Dollars ($265,000.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Twenty-four Thousand One Hundred Ten Dollars
($24,110.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute One Hundred
Twenty-nine Thousand Ninety-two Dollars ($129,092.00) toward the total costs of said
project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to
the Sanitary Replacement fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand ($290,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Kossuth and Marcus) 2001131,
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Kossuth and Marcus) 2001131, in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 15th day of May 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 2003.
