AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($580,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined Sewer Relief
Phase III (Morganford Rd.) (99079C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster
Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid combined sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five
Hundred Thirty-one Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-one Dollars ($531,331.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty Eight Thousand Six
Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($48,669.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($580,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger
Combined Sewer Relief Phase III (Morganford Rd.) (99079C), in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of combined sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined Sewer
Relief Phase III (Morganford Rd.) (99079C) in The City of St. Louis, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of May, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 2003.
