HomeMy Public PortalAbout11547O R D I N A N C E NO. 11547 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000.00) from the Improvement Fund for the construction of water service lines and appurtenances to serve the Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility in Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility Domestic Water Piping Replacement (95081A); and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Condaire, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid water service lines and appurtenances. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said water service lines and appurtenances is Two Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Dollars ($254,890,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-five Thousand One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($25,110.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund for the construction of water service lines and appurtenances to serve the Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility in Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility Domestic Water Piping Replacement (95081A). Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Condaire, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of water service lines and appurtenances to serve the Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility in Grand Glaize Maintenance Facility Domestic Water Piping Replacement (95081A), pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of June, 2003. Section Three. This ordinance being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 2003.
