HomeMy Public PortalAbout11556O R D I N A N C E NO. 11556 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,750,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07B2) Sewer Consolidation Phase II (98049B2), in the Cities of St. Louis, Wellston, and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Sewer Consolidation is One Million Five Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Two Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($1,589,245.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Sixty Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($160,755.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07B2) Sewer Consolidation Phase II (98049B2), in the Cities of St. Louis, Wellston, and University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07B2) Sewer Consolidation, Phase II (98049B2), in the Cities of St. Louis, Wellston, and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of June, 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted August 14, 2003.
