AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred
Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,375,000.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Storm Sewers (2001145), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with J. W. Bommarito Construction
Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One
Million Two Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($1,295,200.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is
Seventy-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($79,800.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred
Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,375,000.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Storm
Sewers (2001145), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. W. Bommarito
Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) Storm
Sewers (2001145), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 17th day of June, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted August 14, 2003.
