AN ORDINANCE, vacating any rights, title or interest of the
District in the street and alley right-of-ways vacated by City of St. Louis
Ordinance No. 65538, approved June 28, 2002, in and adjoining City
Block 1594 and City Block 1599 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to wit:
vacated Grace Avenue, sixty feet (60’) wide from the north line of Gravois
Avenue northwardly to a point thirty feet (30’) north of the fifteen-foot
(15’) wide east-west alley in City Block 1599, vacated irregular portion of
Gravois Avenue beginning at the twenty-foot (20’) wide north-south alley
in City Block 1599 and continuing eastwardly to the west line of vacated
Grace Avenue and adjacent to City Block 1599, vacated fifteen-foot (15’)
wide east-west alley in City Block 1599, vacated twenty-foot (20’) wide
north-south alley in City Block 1594 from the north line of Gravois
Avenue northwardly to the northwest corner of lot 8 and northeast
corner of lot 29 in Block 1 of Robert W. Hunt’s Addition, a subdivision
according to the plat thereof recorded in Book G, Page 47 of the St. Louis
City Records, vacated fifteen-foot (15’) wide east-west alley from the east
line of vacated Grace Avenue to the west line of the vacated twenty-foot
(20’) wide north-south alley in City Block 1594, vacated triangular
portion of Gravois Avenue beginning at the east line of Grace Avenue and
continuing eastwardly 14.14 feet to a point in the north right-of-way line
of Gravois Avenue, eighty feet (80’) wide, as established for Ordinance No.
23356 by a survey dated November 1, 1908, to January 31, 1909, by
John M. Myers, Engineer, and adjacent to City Block 1594.
WHEREAS, the owner of this land has requested that this
District vacate any right, title or interest that the District may have in the
subject vacated street and alley right-of-ways, and this District has no
further use for said vacated street and alley right-of-ways;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
hereby vacates any right, title or interest that it may have in the street
and alley right-of-ways as shown hachured on the “Easement Vacation
Plat” marked Exhibit “A” sheets 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 as attached hereto and
made a part hereof, EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the District’s rights as
established by the easements as recorded in Book 1798, Page 352 and
Book 1798, Page 353, of the St. Louis City Records in City Block 1594
and City Block 1599 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted August 14, 2003.
