AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($845,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Greeley and
Atalanta Sanitary Relief (99102), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Eight Hundred Two Thousand One Hundred Thirty-one Dollars
($802,131.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is
Forty-two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($42,869.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($845,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Greeley and Atalanta Sanitary Relief (99102), in the
City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company, as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Greeley and Atalanta Sanitary Relief (99102), in the City of Webster
Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day
of July, 2003.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted September 11, 2003.
