AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($330,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewers in
Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIB (2001066D), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the aforesaid construction and
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction and rehabilitation of
said sanitary and storm sewers is Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred
Ninety-one and 70/100 Dollars ($311,991.70), and the allowance for construction
change orders is Eighteen Thousand Eight and 30/100 Dollars ($18,008.30), and
WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has
agreed to contribute One Hundred Eighty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($181,500.00) toward the cost of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be retuned to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm
sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIB (2001066D), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder, for the construction and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewers in
Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIB (2001066D), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 12th day of August, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted September 11, 2003.
