AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Eight Hundred
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($3,830,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Fenton
Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements (2001068), in the City of
Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Paric Corporation for the construction of the
aforesaid wastewater treatment plant improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said wastewater
treatment plant improvements is Three Million Six Hundred Forty-six
Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Dollars ($3,636,930.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Eight-three
Thousand Seventy Dollars ($183,070.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Eight Hundred Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($3,830,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Fenton Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement
(2001068), in the City of Fenton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into Contract with Paric Corporation as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of the Fenton Wastewater
Treatment Plant Improvements (2001068) in the City of Fenton,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of
September, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 13, 2003.
