HomeMy Public PortalAbout11628O R D I N A N C E NO. 11628 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($653,200.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Greenview to Berry Storm Sewer (2000107), in the City of Glendale, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Six Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Fifteen and 96/100 Dollars ($622,015.96) and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-one Thousand One Hundred Eighty-four and 04/100 Dollars ($31,184.04), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Fifty-three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($653,200.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Greenview to Berry Storm Sewer (2000107), in the City of Glendale, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Greenview to Berry Storm Sewer (2000107), in the City of Glendale, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of October, 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 13, 2003.
