HomeMy Public PortalAbout11634O R D I N A N C E NO. 11634 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($935,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Archer – Braddock – Coolidge – Grant Storm Channel Phase IV (91000D); in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R.V. Wagner, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is Eighty-eight Thousand Forty-three Dollars ($88,043.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($46,957.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($935,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Archer – Braddock – Coolidge – Grant Storm Channel Phase IV (91000D), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R.V. Wagner, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Archer – Braddock – Coolidge – Grant Storm Channel Phase IV (91000D), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of October, 2003. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon it enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 2003 by the following vote – Ayes – M.A. Rhodes, C. Brown, D. Joyce-Hayes, J.M. Swartz, and R.J. Baer. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
