AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract renewal with John Freshman Associates, Inc. for federal legislative
services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11143, adopted December 13, 2001,
authorized the District’s contract with John Freshman Associates, Inc., said
contract to terminate on December 31, 2002, and
WHEREAS, said contract provides for renewal at the option of the
District, and the District wishes to renew said contract, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11391, adopted December 13, 2002,
authorized the renewal of said contract for an additional one-year term to
terminate on December 31, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract renewal with John Freshman Associates, Inc. for federal legislative
services.
Section Two. The contract renewal authorized in Section One of this
Ordinance shall commence on January 1, 2004 and terminate on December 31,
2004; shall provide for a total annual fee not to exceed Seventy-two Thousand
Dollars ($72,000.00) plus expenses as approved by the District; and shall be
comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the
General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 2003 by the following vote –
Ayes – M.A. Rhodes, C. Brown, D. Joyce-Hayes, J.M. Swartz, and R.J. Baer.
Nays – None.
