AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to sell and convey to Gary Schuette certain real property of the
District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered
as 1824 Knox Avenue, and prescribing terms of said transaction.
WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described has been
declared as surplus pursuant to Resolution No. 2439, adopted March 27,
2002, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2016, adopted
September 18, 1991, said real property was appraised, publicly
advertised for sale and will be sold through negotiation, as no bids were
received for said real property through open and public competition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are
hereby authorized to sell and convey to Gary Schuette certain real
property of the District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known
and numbered as 1824 Knox Avenue, for the total sale price of Four
Hundred Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($407,500.00), said real
property being described as follows:
A triangular tact of land in Block No. 1694 of the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, together with a former alley 25 feet wide, vacated by Ordinance
No. 50086, and being more particularly described as follows:
Bounded West by the East line of Knox Avenue and having a front
thereon of 226.99 feet, more or less, North and East by the right-of-way
of the River Des Peres drainage works and South by the right-of-way of
the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway Company.
Known and numbered as 1824 Knox Avenue.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to execute and deliver a Special Warranty Deed and any
and all other documents as approved by the office of the General Counsel
of the District as may be necessary to effect the sale and conveyance as
authorized in Section One above, and further to deposit the proceeds
from said sale and conveyance in the reserve for Real Property Purchase,
Improvement and Alterations Account.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 2003 by the
following vote –
Ayes – M.A. Rhodes, C. Brown, D. Joyce-Hayes, J.M. Swartz, and R.J.
Baer.
Nays – None.
