AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty-four
Thousand Dollars ($124,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack – Dellwood Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Mayfair Dr.
and Bella Clare Dr. Storm Sewer (2001128), in St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc., for the construction of
the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is
One Hundred Eighteen Thousand Thirty-three Dollars ($118,033.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders is Five Thousand Nine
Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($5,967.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Sixty-two Thousand Dollars ($62,000.00) toward the costs of said
project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will
be returned to the Operations, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Black Jack – Dellwood Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty-four
Thousand Dollars ($124,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black
Jack – Dellwood Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Mayfair Dr. and Bella Clare Dr. Storm Sewer (2001128),
in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc., as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Mayfair Dr. and Bella Clare Dr. Storm Sewer (2001128), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day
of November, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 2004.
