AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ten Thousand
Dollars ($110,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River
Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Monroe Street 8300 Block (Infrastructure Repair) (2003030), in
the City of Vinita Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Ninety-seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($97,444.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Twelve Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty-six Dollars ($12,556.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ten Thousand
Dollars ($110,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City
Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewer in Monroe Street 8300 Block (Infrastructure
Repair) (2003030), in the City of Vinita Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Monroe
Street 8300 Block (Infrastructure Repair) (2003030), in the City of Vinita
Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of
November, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 2004.
