Thousand Dollars ($493,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Davis Park)
2001137, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Four Hundred
Sixty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-one and 40/100 Dollars ($469,621.40),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-three Thousand Three
Hundred Seventy-eight and 60/100 Dollars ($23,378.60), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute One
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) toward the total costs of said project;
upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Sanitary Replacement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety-three Thousand
($493,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase
III (Davis Park) 2001137, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III
(Davis Park) 2001137, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 9th day of December 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 12, 2004.
