AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($540,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Deer
Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (90019B), in the City of Ladue, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bi-State Utilities Company for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-seven
Dollars ($512,377.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Twenty-seven Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-three Dollars
($27,623.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($540,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in DC-09 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (90019B),
in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Company as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
DC-09 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (90019B), in the City of Ladue,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of
December 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 2004.
