AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used
for a portion of the project costs for the construction of combined sewer
in St. Ange Sewer Rehabilitation (90200), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc., for the
construction of the aforesaid combined sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined
sewers is One Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty
Dollars ($198,780.00), and the remainder of the costs of said
construction will be assumed pursuant to a blanket contract with
Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. currently in effect, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Improvement Fund to be used for a portion of the project costs for the
construction of combined sewers in St. Ange Sewer Rehabilitation
(90200), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies,
USA, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
combined sewers in St. Ange Sewer Rehabilitation (90200), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th
day of November, 2003.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 2004.
