HomeMy Public PortalAbout11704O R D I N A N C E NO. 11704 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Paymentech, L.P., whereby Paymentech, L.P. will perform payment card processing services associated with the collection and processing of automatic debit and credit card payments for the District, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer, on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Paymentech, L.P., whereby Paymentech, L.P. will perform payment card processing services associated with the collection and processing of automatic debit and credit card payments for the District. Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall provide for an initial term of one (1) year and may be renewed for two (2) additional one-year terms at the District's option unless otherwise terminated; and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Three. The payment card processing services as hereby authorized are essential to the collection operations of the District, and must be implemented without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the Charter. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 1, 2004.
