AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty-seven
Thousand Dollars ($157,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of sheet pile, rock blanket and heavy stone
revetment and appurtenances in Fox Hall – Redman Storm Channel
(WCMB-110) (2001074), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL
Contracting, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said sheet pile, rock
blanket and heavy stone revetment and appurtenances is One Hundred
Forty-nine Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-three Dollars ($149,393.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Seven Thousand Six
Hundred Seven Dollars ($7,607.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty-seven
Thousand Dollars ($157,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sheet
pile, rock blanket and heavy stone revetment and appurtenances in Fox
Hall – Redman Storm Channel (WCMB-110) (2001074), in St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sheet pile, rock blanket
and heavy stone revetment and appurtenances in Fox Hall – Redman
Storm Channel (WCMB-110) (2001074), in St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of February, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2004.
