HomeMy Public PortalAbout11723O R D I N A N C E NO. 11723 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase V (97040C), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid main sewer lines. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said main sewer lines is Six Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-two and 56/100 Dollars ($633,672.56), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-six Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-seven and 44/100 Dollars ($66,327.44), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase V (97040C), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase V (97040C), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of March, 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2004.
