HomeMy Public PortalAbout11726O R D I N A N C E NO. 11726 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,255,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) – Oriole Storm Sewers/Detention Basin (2001146), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Million One Hundred Ninety-four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-three 22/100 Dollars ($1,194,433.22), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-six and 78/100 Dollars ($60,566.78), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,255,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) – Oriole Storm Sewers/Detention Basin (2001146), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase II (North Pointe) – Oriole Storm Sewers/Detention Basin (2001146), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of March, 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2004.
