HomeMy Public PortalAbout11727O R D I N A N C E NO. 11727 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($5,250,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area - ORS Middle River Des Peres (L-05B) Foulwater Interceptor Section B (94063B), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc., for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of the Foulwater Interceptor – Section B is Four Million Nine Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Dollars ($4,988,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Sixty-two Thousand Dollars ($262,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($5,250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area - ORS Middle River Des Peres (L-05B), Foulwater Interceptor Section B (94063B), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area - ORS Middle River Des Peres (L-05B) Foulwater Interceptor Section B (94063B), in the City of St. Louis, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th Day of April 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon it enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2004.
