AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty
Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Crescent &
Hanna Sanitary Sewers (95065), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said sanitary sewers
is One Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-six and
55/100 Dollars ($172,256.55) and the allowance for construction change
orders is Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-three and 45/100
Dollars ($7,743.45), and
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and the owners of
the properties being served by said project have agreed to reimburse the
District for the costs of construction of said sanitary sewers; upon the
receipt of such funds from said sources, said money will be returned to
the Improvement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($180,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers
in Crescent & Hanna Sanitary Sewers (95065), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction
Company, Inc. for the construction of sanitary sewers in Crescent &
Hanna Sanitary Sewers (95065), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of April, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2004.
