AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Spoede Acres & Oak
Park Storm Sewer (2000111), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Benz-Parks, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is
Two Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Six Hundred Six and 05/100 Dollars
($255,606.05) and the allowance for construction change orders is
Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-three and 95/100 Dollars
($19,393.95), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) toward the costs of said
project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will
be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve
Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Spoede Acres & Oak Park Storm Sewer (2000111), in the
City of Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Spoede Acres
& Oak Park Storm Sewer (2000111), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of April, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2004.
