HomeMy Public PortalAbout11776O R D I N A N C E NO. 11776 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-three Thousand Dollars ($143,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Eldorado Court -- Honeycut Lane Storm Sewer (2002083); in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-seven Dollars ($129,947.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirteen Thousand Fifty-three Dollars ($13,053.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-three Thousand Dollars ($143,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Eldorado Court -- Honeycut Lane Storm Sewer (2002083), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Eldorado Court -- Honeycut Lane Storm Sewer (2002083), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of May, 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 8, 2004.
