HomeMy Public PortalAbout11789O R D I N A N C E NO. 11789 AN ORDIANCE, appropriating Five Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF- 02 Fee Feeā€“Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase II and Phase III (88088) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewer is Five Million Four Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($5,484,969.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Thirty-one Dollars ($215,031.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewer in FF-02 Fee Fee-Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase II and Phase III (88088), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 in Fee Fee-Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase II and Phase III (88088), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of May 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 12, 2004.
