AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($49,500.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in CSO -- Jefferson Barracks Subsystem
No. 72 – V.A. Cemetary Stormwater Diversion (2003076A), in St. Louis County,
Missouri, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is
Forty-five Thousand Eighty-two Dollars ($45,082.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Four Thousand Four Hundred Eighteen Dollars
($4,418.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($49,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in CSO -- Jefferson
Barracks Subsystem No. 72 – V.A. Cemetary Stormwater Diversion (2003076A),
in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of storm sewers in CSO -- Jefferson Barracks Subsystem
No. 72 – V.A. Cemetary Stormwater Diversion (2003076A), in St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of July, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 9, 2004.
