Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,170,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Elm to Larson Park Sanitary Relief Phase II (96089A), in the City of
Glendale, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers
is One Million One Hundred Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-six
Dollars ($1,114,266.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is
Fifty-five Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-four Dollars ($55,734.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($1,170,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Elm to Larson Park Sanitary Relief Phase II (96089A), in the City
of Glendale, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Elm to Larson Park Sanitary
Relief Phase II (96089A), in the City of Glendale, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 4th day of August 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 2004.
