HomeMy Public PortalAbout11860O R D I N A N C E NO. 11860 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,890,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Old Mill Creek Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II – Grand to Ranken (2001065), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid combined sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for rehabilitation of said combined sewers is One Million Seven Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,799,700.00) and the allowance for construction change orders is Ninety Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($90,300.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,890,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Old Mill Creek Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II – Grand to Ranken (2001065), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Old Mill Creek Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II - - Grand to Ranken (2001065), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of August, 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 2004.
