AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-four Thousand Dollars
($44,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Shrewsbury Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Sutherland #7506 Storm Sewer (2003046), in the
City of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with V.G.P. Utility Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is Thirty-
nine Thousand Four Hundred One Dollars ($39,401.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders is Four Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-nine Dollars
($4,599.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-four Thousand Dollars ($44,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Shrewsbury Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Sutherland #7506 Storm Sewer
(2003046), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with V.G.P. Utility Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of storm sewers in Sutherland #7506 Storm Sewer (2003046), in
the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th
day of August, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 2004.
