HomeMy Public PortalAbout11862O R D I N A N C E NO. 11862 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($585,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and combined sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIA (2001066C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction of said storm and combined sewers is Four Hundred Fourteen Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-seven Dollars ($414,987.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Seventy Thousand Thirteen Dollars ($170,013.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($585,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and combined sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIA (2001066C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of storm and combined sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IIA (2001066C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of August, 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 2004.
